Protec welcomes new Head Coach, Michel Couvrette

Michel Couvrette, Head Coach

A newcomer to the Ducks coaching staff at Protec, Michel Couvrette brings a wealth of playing and coaching
experience to the Ducks’ program. Couvrette had an extensive professional playing career between
1988-99, highlighted by a 58 point season in 52 games with the San Diego Gulls of the WCHL during the
1995-96 season. During that time, he also played for six years in numerous countries across Europe. Prior to
turning pro, Couvrette had a successful Junior career spanning four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior
Hockey League with Drummonville and Longueuil, producing 237 points in 202 games. A native of Verdun,
Montreal, Couvrette has been coaching competitive amateur hockey since retiring from playing in 1999.

Couvrette will have an active role in all aspects of player development, team strategy and bench manage-
ment. Couvrette’s knowledge and passion for the game will undoubtedly be a great asset to the Duck’s
