Protec Ponds Welcomes Eleanor Reiss as Figure Skating Director

We are very excited to announce the newest member of our Protec team in Eleanor Reiss.  Eleanor will be taking over the Figure Skating Director duties at the rink as she looks to expand the program and advance our skaters into more competitive opportunities. Assisting Eleanor will be Michelle Marici.  Michelle will be acting as Learn To Skate Manager, having been with Protec for the last 6 years – coaching summer camps and learn to skate classes.  Michelle has also been the Assistant Figure Skating Director for the last 6 months here at Protec. With Michelle’s help, and Eleanor’s vast experience, we foresee this transition to be a swift one for our new Director, and we look forward to everything she will be bringing to the table for our skaters.

Before Protec, Eleanor Reiss worked with Figure Skating for many years.  She, herself, rose to the skating levels of Double Gold Medal in Figure and Freestyle; this in addition to being a Canadian Gold Medalist.  After her personal Triumphs in the sport, Eleanor worked with rinks to strengthen their programs, including her past position where she managed 12 coaches as pertaining to their private figure skating and learn to skate activities.  She has been conducting seminars, special events, test programs, as well as USFSA competition and marketing programs.  Her last position saw great growth under her management, and now at Protec, we look forward to this same positive effect on our own skating programs.

We wish the best of luck to Eleanor and Michelle as they oversee the skating program, and strive to create a comfortable atmosphere for our figure skaters to learn and grow in the sport.  We will be feeding support throughout their journey, as we continue to grow our skating programs at Protec.
