Strength and Conditioning coach Dan Ostberg overseas the off-ice performance center overlooking the two pond rinks. Additionally Coach Dan will take on the role of off-ice player performance and development for all the teams at Protec.
About Coach Dan:
Coach Dan is a native of New Jersey and formally played ice hockey at Protec Ponds during his undergraduate studies in Exercise Science at Rutgers University. Dan played defense for Rutgers at the ACHA, where he performed the duties of Assistant Captain and Captain.
After finishing his playing career at Rutgers, Dan served as an assistant Coach for the Ohio University Bobcats (ACHA) during the completion of his graduate degree. Last year, Dan served as a hockey scout for the Neutral Zone Scouting.
In addition to his career in hockey, Dan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in accordance with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Coach Dan has served as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Princeton University (NCAA D1), and as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
