Bridge Training Program

The Bridge Training Program is designed to teach skating skills at a fast pace in a group training environment.   It also doubles as a great way to introduce skaters and their families to the world of figure skating.  Participants must be of the Basic 4 skating level and up.

This program meets on Saturdays.

Visit our Bridge Training Program page!

Off-Ice Training

Off-ice training is a class specially designed for figure skaters.  In the sport of figure skating, a skater must have a strong core in order to complete difficult jumps, spins and edge moves.  Our classes will help participants build specific body muscles in their abdomen, legs, arms, and back through the use of plyometrics, exercise balls, pilates, and other exercises that promote strength and flexibility.

Classes are taught by former US World Team Leader GALE PILLA!

This program meets on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Protec Ponds Holiday Extravaganza Production Group

Thank you to all the skaters and families of these skaters who participated in the Holiday Extravaganza Skating Show and Production Group!  The day was a great success, and we hope everyone who participated had equally as much fun as we did hosting it.  The Holiday Extravaganza made for a great way to end the year, and now we can look forward to another exciting year of skating, and further toward another Extravaganza!

This program merges technical jumps and spins with unique choreography, ice dancing, pairs moves, synchronized skating and theater to create a fun and exciting group number.   For skaters of the Basic 4 level and up, this production group performs a group event at the end of the Holiday Extravaganza Skating Show.

New information about our 2017 Extravaganza will be out soon!

Artistry & Flexibility Classes

Artistry incorporates interval training of fast and slow elements which will help skaters better perform different styles of choreography on the ice.  Flexibility will build skater’s strength, posture, and balance.  With this program, skaters should see improvement in their balance and body position, especially for spins and spirals.

Instructed by former Russian National Competitor and current Radio City Christmas Spectacular figure skater and dancer, SVETLANA BUTOVA!

Competition Program Practice

Competition season is fast approaching.  Come practice your program with no other skaters on the ice!  These practice times will mimic a competition setting.  Each skater will receive a 3 minute warm-up prior to performing their program.  After 5-10 skaters perform, we will repeat this process again.  This means each skater will have the chance to perform their program at least twice.

This program fills up fast!  Only the first 30 skaters will be accepted.

Figure Skating Summer Camps

Full Day Figure Skating Camps for skaters of the Basic 6 skating level and above.  Campers will have the option of attending our camps for 3 days or 5 days per week.  Our well-rounded camps offer on-ice training, off-ice training, and freestyle sessions to practice your skills.  Protec Figure Skating Camps are instructed by a professional and certified Figure Skating Staff.  Look out for more information about our 2018 Summer Camps in early 2018!
