Protec Ponds Ice Center – Summer Hockey Camps
Thank you to all our hockey players who participated in 2018’s Hockey Summer Camp season! There was a lot of great feedback from players and instructors, making us confident 2019 will only be bigger and better! Also a great big thank you to our 2018 instructors: Tyler Mishchenko, Chris Marsillo, Craig Jennings, Stephane Matteau, Alyson Matteau, David Ball, Dan Gould, Patrick Alvin, Joe Gambardella, Terry Watt, and a number of Rutgers DII players who aided our camps this year!
ProtecHockey Ponds Hockey Summer Camps are designed to be an off-season total player development and strengthening program for hockey players of all ages. Our camps have an “on” and “off-ice” hockey-specific program that gives players a competitive advantage and maximizes their physical performance through individual and group training. Each player will be evaluated both on and off the ice in order to gain insight into their individual skill set to better prepare their game for the upcoming season. On and off ice programs are designed to improve every player’s level of skill regarding shooting, skating and stick handling. All participants are taught by professional instructors in a supportive learning environment. An enriched curriculum of skill based techniques is taught through individual attention and hands on instruction.
Protec Hockey Camps are for players and goalies of all ages, with only a few exceptions. Most camps teach general skills through each instructors favorite drills and styles.
Going forward we will be hosting some of our camps with half day options for participants to go out and try other sports. These may include Lacrosse, Golf, Baseball, and Football in 2019. During weeks with half day camp options, players will participate in hockey camp for the first half of each day, then spend the second half of the day at a satellite field/course to learn up on the alternate sport.
